Registered Nurse
Registered Nurses (RN) work in a variety of healthcare organizations throughout the community. RNs are able to assess patients to provide nursing interventions for preventative, restorative, and health-promotion activities. Teaching, supervising, and delegating, are also components of the RN role. Upon completion of this program, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) is eligible to obtain licensure by passing the NCLEX-RN.
This is a daytime, 45 week program; combining theory, simulation, clinicals, and skills lab experiences. Full-time students will have class, lab, or clinicals five days per week. Classes start in January and are completed in mid-November. Part-time options are available to complete the program over a two year period. Part-time students will be in class, lab, or clinical 3 days per week.
Applicants must be an LPN in the state of Ohio with an unencumbered nursing license. Applicants must be IV certified.
There are no prerequisite courses required.
Articulation agreements will be in place to allow students to complete their Bachelors of Science in Nursing Degree upon successful completion of the program and the NCLEX-RN.
This program is designed to allow Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN), endorsed in the state of Ohio to become Registered Nurses (RN). Students in this program will be able to care for patients in a variety of healthcare settings and learn the necessary skills to become a safe and competent RN. The program is 45 weeks long and will be 4-5 days per week. There is a part time option, allowing students to graduate in two years.
