Medical Assisting & Phlebotomy

Medical Assisting & Phlebotomy is expected to be one of the fastest growing occupations with an increase of about 29 % over the next ten years.

Medical Assistants complete administrative and clinical tasks in the offices of physicians, hospitals and other healthcare facilities. Their duties vary with the location, specialty and size of the practice but generally include rooming a patient, assisting with minor surgical procedures, taking vital signs and scribing.  Phlebotomists draw blood for tests, transfusions, research or blood donations.
